Mullassery Madhavan Kutty Boxoffice Collection Update - 28 Lacs Gross in 10 Days

Anoop Menon's first attempt as a solo hero has failed to make its mark at the Kerala Boxoffice, as Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom P.O. has managed to gross just 28 lacs in 10 days. The film has been a total wash-out from the theaters as it got hold over from as many as 33 centers out of the 34 screens in which it released on 10th February 2012. It released in 2 theaters as late releases, and now continues to run in just 3 screens all over the state in its 10th day - Thiruvananthapuram, Adoor and Aluva.

Mullassery Madhavankutty is one of the biggest disasters of recent times, though made at a shoe-string budget of about 1.35 Crores. The distributor share obtained by the film from its theaters is insufficient to recover even its publicity costs. It is highly unlikely that the share obtained from its theatrical run and the satellite - audio rights, put together will recover even 50% of the production costs.

The film has completed 850 shows in Kerala, earning a share of just 15 lacs.

VERDICT : DISASTER
