The big budget Mohanlal starrer Casannova's Hindi remake rights have been bagged by Ketan Shah for a whopping figure of 1.5 Crores. The feat is unprecedented in the Malayalam Movie Industry till date. This works as a huge boost for the film whose collections saw a sharp fall after the thunderous opening day. The film would have had to collect another 3 - 3.10 Crores at its Boxoffice to earn a distributor share of 1.5 Crores. Thus this sale of remake rights might work big time towards driving the film's economics to safety. This effectively makes up for about 2 weeks additional run at the boxoffice, which the film would have made, if it had managed a good word of mouth or positive reviews.
It has been widely talked that the Hindi remake would star Aamir Khan in it's lead.
