Dulquer Salman has managed to hit gold with his maiden venture Second Show, as the trade has declared the film to be a HIT by its 10th day of theatrical run. The movie has earned a share of about 90 lakhs in 10 days and has already become safe due to its low cost of production. Second Show is the first commercially profitable movie of 2012.
The movie has played 2466 shows in 9 days and is still going strong in 49 theaters in Kerala. It had released in 65 theaters and was removed from 23 of them at the end of first week. The movie got 7 more theaters as late release. The gross collection of the movie is expected to be in the range of about 2 Crores till now. The film has received above average to positive word mouth.
Second Show can be classified even as a Super Hit, if it can manage to gross about 4 Crores in its theatrical run, which at the moment is a bit far-fetched.
